History About the Scholarship Fund & General Information
Dwight Brydie, a longstanding employee of EDD, was a committed & passionate advocate for youth, prior to his untimely death in January 2006. Dwight understood the need to and value of reaching youth on the youth level.
To honor his memory, the California Workforce Association has established a scholarship program in his name to assist in-program youth in California in achieving their educational and employment goals for the future. The $1000 scholarships are awarded yearly at the CWA Youth Conference – Youth@Work.
