Statewide Disability Services Training
CWA, in conjunction with DOR, EDD, and the State Board is proud to bring you a two-pronged statewide training initiative that will address specific strategies and topics to see heightened access to (and quality of) services for individuals with disabilities seeking to participate in AJCC and other WIOA programs.
In our DOR WIOA Training series, we focus on programmatic and physical accessibility to AJCC and other WIOA services. We seek to equip AJCC staff and partners with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to provide superior service to job seekers with disabilities through an ongoing learning process. This series is intended to address the implementation of WIOA sec. 188, but will also include behavioral and attitudinal training for staff. Our EDD Traveling Disability DRC Training is intended to address service delivery for individuals with disabilities. It will highlight easily implementable best practices and strategies discovered through California’s Disability Employment Initiative (DEI) and Disability Employment Accelerator (DEA) efforts. These strategies will be presented through a series of training modules on front-line service delivery, successful collaboration models, and more.
