Addresses Job Committee to Discuss Industry Competitiveness and Economic Inclusion
SACRAMENTO – California Workforce Association Executive Director Bob Lanter will address the Assembly Jobs Committee in the first in a series of informational hearings to examine core economic and workforce development topics.
“The information from these hearings serves as the foundation from which the committee will undertake its primary missions of overseeing current state programs, and evaluating legislative proposals,” said Committee Chair, Sharon Quirk-Silva.
“Many people and businesses in California have seen the benefit of the recovery of our economy, but many have also been left behind. The economy of California will be at its healthiest when businesses are able to capitalize on the skills, intelligence, and determination of all Californians, regardless of background or barriers to employment. We look forward to continuing conversations with this committee to develop resources and strategies to accomplish this goal,” said CWA Executive Director, Bob Lanter.
The Members of the Assembly will be briefed by, and have the chance to ask questions of, stakeholders on 2017 issues and priorities.
