The California Workforce Association is the leading voice for California’s public workforce system. CWA advocates on behalf of its members through state legislation, providing testimony to Congress, state elected officials and Constitutional officers, and communication on behalf of the workforce development system at the local, state and federal levels. We represent our members through active participation in a variety of key coalitions, commissions and on partner boards, helping to leverage resources with workforce development partners and stakeholders.

As an affiliate member of CWA you will receive the latest information regarding state and federal workforce policy and budget issues, access to funding news, topical news items, interpretation of legislative proposals, newly released labor market and economic data, results and issue briefs. Affiliate members also receive up-to-date information on pending workforce-related legislation and policy changes that affect the operation of local programs, regulations, and policy interpretations and clarifications.

By keeping the system informed, members are better prepared to play an important role in the local design and delivery of collaborative workforce development strategies.
