California Workforce Association: What We Do

Statewide Partnerships—Local Results

The CWA is a nonprofit membership organization that develops public policy strategies and builds local capacity to address critical workforce issues across California. CWA represents the interests of Workforce Investment Boards who are responsible for developing local-based workforce strategies and solutions through a network of One-Stop Career Centers and other workforce partners.

Our services cover four key areas including

Government Relations – keeping members informed of legislation and issues
Advocacy – developing outreach strategies to educate policy makers
Capacity-Building – increasing the knowledge of our members to deliver workforce excellence
Collaboration – building partnerships with education, economic development and industry to support workforce strategies
