California State University, Sacramento (Sacramento State) is one of 23 campuses under the management, administration and control of the California State University System, Board of Trustees. The College of Continuing Education (CCE) is one of eight colleges on the Sacramento State campus. CCE receives no public funding for its operations. Fees collected for each class cover instruction and administrative costs.
CCE fosters relationships with our communities and clients by offering a strategic and innovative portfolio of programs and services. Through our work with leaders in public and private sectors, CCE programs have a career development emphasis and identify educational needs of the statewide workforce, enabling individuals to acquire knowledge, training and skills for use in a work setting. CCE has been offering certificate programs, customized training, seminars, workshops, and conference services since 1951.
CCE courses and programs are developed and taught by experienced professionals who are well-qualified in their subject matter. These individuals may be university faculty or highly regarded specialists from the public and private sectors.
Extension Programs is one of several units that comprise CCE. Extension Programs complements the mission of CCE by providing access to high quality, affordable educational programming and services that meet the needs of individual students, academic institutions, working professionals, and employer organizations.
With over 116 years of combined staff experience within Extension Programs, our team has strong expertise in designing and delivering professional development programs and services to a wide variety of audiences.
