- Workforce Training
Chaffey College is a two-year community college, established in 1883, with a $106 million budget serving seven cities in the Inland Empire region with three campuses, located in Rancho Cucamonga, Chino and Fontana as well as its InTech Center in Fontana. The College’s mission is to inspire hope and success by improving lives and our community in a dynamic, supportive, and engaging environment of educational excellence where our diverse students learn and benefit from foundation, career, and transfer programs.
For more than 18 years, the Chaffey College Economic Development Department has developed and delivered thousands of workforce training hours in professional skills, both at Chaffey College Campuses, as well as at client locations. With a focus on topics related to Leadership, Communication, Performance Improvement, Business Skills and Safety, the Contract Education arm of Chaffey has a long track record of providing excellent training to business and industry, as well as professional organizations to upskill their incumbent workforce.
Due to the strong reputation for serving businesses in the Inland Region, the Chaffey College Economic Development Department, in partnership with one of the county’s largest private employers, received a grant in 2016 to open a public/private technical training center; the first of its kind in California, called the InTech (Industrial Technical) Learning Center. We specialize in delivering high quality, in-demand workforce training for local and California state-wide organizations. Through Chaffey’s InTech Center, the College’s specialization in technical training has expanded to encompass HVAC, Welding, Mechatronics (Industrial Robotics), Machining, the first DAS (Division of Apprenticeship Standards) registered Industrial Electrical & Mechanical Pre-Apprenticeship in CA history.
