Charlie Brown Workforce Development Professional Award History
Charlie Brown was Executive Director of NoRTEC for almost a quarter century, the largest multi-county area in California. Charlie was a pioneer, a visionary, and for those who knew him, a bit of a curmudgeon. Charlie was years ahead of his time in developing regional strategies focused on business needs, aligning workforce with economic development, and creating opportunities for job seekers that would otherwise not exist. During his long career, he mentored many who became the next generation of workforce development leaders.
