Conference Details

The Youth@Work Conference will address formidable issues facing youth and young adults in preparing for work even in today’s robust economy. Our theme, Planet Shakers, refers to the potential of all youth to change the planet, and our role to ensure this next generation is fully participating as disrupters (and not as the disrupted) in the technology driven economy that is unfolding around us. As ever, the challenge is to   help youth create viable economic futures, meaningful careers and life success trajectories in the context of this emerging future.

The Youth@Work 2019 Conference will provide a series of plenary speakers, panels, workshops and discussion sessions to help meet the challenges that youth providers, regions, local workforce development boards, community colleges, adult education, and other agencies and organizations face in providing effective services to WIOA eligible and other opportunity youth.

Exhibitor Schedule

  • Early-Bird Exhibitor set-up begins at 3:30 PM till 5:00 PM, Monday, January 21st
  • Day 1 Exhibitor set-up begins at 7:00 AM, Tuesday, January 22nd
  • Day 1 Exhibit area opens at 8:00 AM and closes at 4:45 PM Tuesday, January 22nd
  • Day 2 Exhibit area opens at 8:00 AM Wednesday, January 23rd
  • Day 2 all exhibits must be removed by 4 PM on Wednesday, January 23rd

There will be dedicated and announced showcase breaks with the exhibitors on Tuesday, January 22nd and Wednesday, January 23rd. No sessions are scheduled during these showcase breaks, so participants can visit the Exhibits.

Exhibiting and Advertising FAQs
Is WiFi, AV or Shipping included with packages?

The California Workforce Association (CWA) is a non-profit entity, we do not provide WiFi, AV or shipping for any of our exhibitors during our conferences. Shipping and AV forms will be provided with instructions to complete orders prior to the first day of the conference. All post conference shipping is also the sole responsibility of all exhibitors, please prep ahead with your own shipping labels.

Is registration for the conference required?

Registration is required of all our conference attendees for all of our yearly conferences. Coordination of conference registration for exhibitors and sponsors will be handled by Megan Bailey – registration begins October 2018 and last day to register for the Youth@Work Conference will be Friday, January 18, 2019.

CC Email Address is for another person who would like to track the registration, or receive conference details or payments. All conference attendees’ check-in to the conference using our kiosk, they will use the cell phone that they provided in their registration to dial a phone number provided by the kiosk to complete their check-in process.

What is the size of the booth space?

Exhibitor Space

The California Workforce Association (CWA) conferences are held in hotel space, some hotels may have exhibitors in a designated room, other conference hotel space may have exhibitor tables out in main hallways near our conference registration desk and kiosk. 

  • 1 – Standard 6 ft. table
  • 2 – Chairs with backs
  • 1- Wastebasket
  • 1 – Hotel table linen provided (linen colors may vary)

Placement of exhibitors is at the sole discretion of the CWA based on AV or electrical needs of the exhibitor. A map of the booth placements will be provided to all exhibitors before, and at the conference.

Back Drops & Pop-up Advertising

We kindly request no over-sized backdrops, *max 10 ft. in width. The exhibitor space is not trade show space, please be mindful of the other exhibitors when selecting your visual displays and advertising.


What are the dimensions of conference program ads?

Advertising must be submitted camera ready art in PDF format for printing. Conference program is printed in gray-scale.

Conference Literature Distribution
Whether you are Exhibiting at the conference or not able to be in attendance, you can share your organizations services and product information with our conference attendees via CWA Literature Distribution option. For a fee the CWA Staff will hand place your single piece of literature in each of the attendee’s gift; our giveaway gift historically can be tote bags, backpacks, padfolios, etc.

Conference Advertising
