The California Workforce Development Board in partnership with the California Workforce Association, are excited to announce the AB1111 Breaking Barriers to Employment Initiative, virtual, Community of Practice!
Please join us on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 27 & 28, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. daily.
The Community of Practice theme is “Coordination and Collaboration to Address Inequities in Our Communities.” The convening will include two dedicated training sessions, panel discussions, peer-to-peer learning opportunities, and information on project resources. Our goal for the convening is that participants learn new strategies and improve upon existing ones to enhance their project’s efforts in alleviating issues of inequity and improve service delivery.
Attendance is required from every project on both days of the event. Grantees may register as many staff and partner representatives as they wish for the event. In addition to direct services staff, project managers and agencies’ senior leadership are highly encouraged to attend. Grantees should ensure that representatives from their WDB or CBO partners also register.
Below is a link to the draft agenda for the convening. A final agenda, along with logistical information will be sent out soon to all registrants.
If you have any questions, please contact Kerry Chang at email@example.com. We look forward to seeing you there!
Note: The Community of Practice will replace October’s regularly scheduled Peer Learning Community System Building session.
